Barwara Fort( Chauth ka Barwara):

It is situated in Sawaimadhopur dt of Rajasthan. Its in Tonk-Sawai Madhopur Loksabha Constituency. "Khandar" is the Vidhan Sabha Constituency.

Chauth Ka Barwara City is on the lap of Aravali Hills. Here mainly Meenas/Gurjars exists.

History:

Chauth ka barwara or barwara is the small city found in 1451 AD on the name of Goddess Chauth( chauth mata). Here Lord DevNarayan is the main lord of Gurjars and is one of the magnificent temples of Rajasthan.

The Chauth of Barwara temple is the shaktipeeth.Its located on 1100 ft built by Maharaja Bheem Singh Chauhan on the hill of Barwara. Now its a part of Ranthambor national park which is just 30 mins away.

Near to Barwara there were 2 places like Chauru, Pachala which are villages now. It was a dense region where tribals used to live. Chauth Mata was first found in Chauru's forest. Then the tribal people started worshipping the Chauru Mata which is now the Chauth Mata.

First she was the kuldevi of kanjar tribal people. After that tribal people which are the Meenas started worshipping her. But after many years, the statue of chauth mata disappeared from the forest and then one day the goddess appeared in the dream of Raja Bheem Singh Chauhan but he ignored.She  came in dream and told the king to go on a forest hunt. But her queen Ratnavali stopped him not to go on hunting.But he didn't hear her words and went with his soldiers towards the dense forests. When he was searching for the animals to hunt, he saw a deer and started running behind it, but all in vain!He even told he soldiers to go to the forests but they all got lost. Till this time Raja Bheem Singh was so thirsty.

When he didn't find any source of water he fainted and saw the same dream of goddess chauth mata. When he opened his eyes he saw the place full of water and a beautiful little girl. He was worried of her safety. The girl came towards him and with smile she asked that whether he quenched his thirst and she disappeared but then appeared Adishakti ( goddess chauth). After that a statue was found on the place. The Maharaja took the statue and built a temple on the hill which is now Chauth ka barwara.

There is a proverb :"चौरू छोड़ पचालो छोड़यो, बरवाड़ा धरी मालाण, भीम सिंह चौहान कू, माँ दी परच्या परमाण "

The Chauth mata temple is famous for the chauth vrat for the married woman in India. The temple is also famous for Navratri as goddess chauth mata is worshipped here.

The wedding season is always famous in rajasthan because of its heritage. Be it the havelis of mandava or the palaces turned into hotels( umed bhawan palace( jodhpur).

Six senses barwara fort is also emerging as one of the beautiful forts recently. This came in news because of Katrina's and Vicky kaushal's December wedding. The owner of the six senses fort is Prithviraj Singh. One part of the fort is made into this Luxury hotel and given onto lease to Six senses group. It had been recently opened in OCTOBER.

The walls of the hotel are covered into the intricrated Shekhavati Art.( Rajasthani form of art).
